PROBLEM/ISSUE STATEMENT
Treasure Drive from Donna Drive to the City High Ditch is a gravel street with curb and gutter on both sides. The property owners approached the City Engineer's Office to inquire about paving Treasure Drive. A representative from the City Engineer's office met with the property owners on September 30th and presented the option of creating a Special Improvement District (SID) in order to pave Treasure Drive. There are 9 separate properties on Treasure Drive. Owners of 8 out of the 9 properties signed the SID creation petition.
ALTERNATIVES ANALYZED
The Council may:
• After holding a public hearing, approve the Resolution Creating SID 1397; or
• After holding a public hearing, do not approve the Resolution Creating SID 1397. If not approved the SID cannot move forward.

FINANCIAL IMPACT
The total estimated costs of the Improvements are $76,000.00 and will be paid for through the sale of SID bonds and be assessed back to the property owners.
RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends that the City Council conduct a public hearing and approve the resolution creating SID 1397.
