PROBLEM/ISSUE STATEMENT

The purpose of W.O. 15-29 West Wicks Lane Multi-Use Trail is to construct a 10-foot wide multi-use trail along West Wicks Lane from the intersection of Skyway Drive to Governors Boulevard.  The project was advertised on May 28th, and June 4th, 11th, 18th, and 25th in the Billings Times and on the City's Website.  Bids were opened on June 30, 2015.  The City received four bids and CMG Construction, Inc. submitted the lowest responsible bid. 

ALTERNATIVES ANALYZED

City Council may:
  • Approve W.O. 15-29 West Wicks Lane Multi-Use Trail to CMG Construction in the amount of $214,880, or;
  • Do not award W.O. 15-29.  If not awarded the multi-use trail along Wicks Lane will not be constructed.

FINANCIAL IMPACT

The following bids were received and evaluated:

The funding for this project was budgeted in FY 2015.CTEP funds will pay 86.6% and gas tax funds will pay 13.4%.

RECOMMENDATION

Staff recommends council award W.O. 15-29; West Wicks Lane Multi-Use Path, to CMG Construction in the amount of $214,880.00.
