PROBLEM/ISSUE STATEMENT
Three bids were received by the Street/Traffic Division for the Public Works Department on September 15, 2015 to purchase a 2015 Loader Mounted Snow Blower. This snow blower is used for blowing snow into trucks when crews are removing snow from the streets. This new snow blower will replace an existing unit as part of the FY 2016 Equipment Replacement Plan (ERP).
ALTERNATIVES ANALYZED
City Council may:
- Approve the low bid for the 2015 Loader Mounted Snow blower, or;
- Disapprove and reject all bids for the 2015 Loader mounted Snow blower. If the new unit is not purchased, the existing Snow blower will be used, but its maintenance costs will continue to increase and its reliability will decline.
FINANCIAL IMPACT
3 bids were received as shown below:
The funding is included in the Public Works budget for FY2016.
