The Yellowstone County Tavern Association has made a donation to the Billings Fire Department in the amount of $1,500 to purchase patient lifting equipment.  These lifting devices provide multiple handles for moving or lifting patients. The Yellowstone County Tavern Association approved the Department's request to fund the purchase of patient lifting equipment that will minimize injuring the patient as well as reduce firefighter lifting injuries. City policy is that any donations over $500 must be approved by the City Council.

City Council may approve or disapprove accepting the $1,500 donation from the Yellowstone County Tavern Association.

Accepting this donation allows City of Billings Fire staff to purchase two of these patient lifting devices which retail for $749.00 each.

Staff recommends that the City Council accept the $1,500 donation from the Yellowstone County Tavern Association to purchase new patient lift devices.
