PROBLEM/ISSUE STATEMENT
The City Council approved the annexation of property owned by Yellowstone Meadows Partners, LLC (Annexation #16-03) on May 9, 2016. The property is located at the southwest corner of the intersection of 54th Street West and Trail Creek Drive. After this action, it was determined that there was an error in the legal description. Therefore, it becomes necessary to approve an amended resolution that corrects the legal description of Annexation #16-03. This correction has no other impact on the property's annexation.
ALTERNATIVES ANALYZED
The Council may:
- Approve the amended resolution correcting the legal description for Annexation #16-03; or
- Not approve the resolution. Not approving the resolution will leave an error in the legal description of the annexed property and cause problems in the future if other platting or annexation takes place around the subject property.
FINANCIAL IMPACT
There is no financial impact to the City with this action.
RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends that the City Council approve the amended resolution correcting the legal description for Annexation #16-03.
