Council is asked to approve Professional Services Contract Amendment No. 2 with Kadrmas, Lee, and Jackson, Inc. for W.O. 15-18, in the amount of $22,441.50. Contract Amendment No. 2 is for additional time required to complete construction inspection of the clearwell re-coat that was not budgeted in the original contract. The additional inspection time is required due to the extension of contract time that was added during the design phase which was determined to be more appropriate given the work required.  The original contract was approved by Council on July 13, 2015, in the amount of $92,223. Contract Amendment No. 1 was for the additional design for a handrail system on top of the Clearwell No. 2 roof. The value of KLJ's contract including Amendment No. 2 would be $123,204.

City Council may:

• Approve the Amendment No. 2 for Professional Services with Kadrmas, Lee, and Jackson, Inc, or;
• Disapprove the Amendment No. 2 for Professional Services with Kadrmas, Lee, and Jackson, Inc.  If the amendment isn't  approved, the inspection will not be completed and the quality of the finished product could be compromised.  

Funding for this project is from Water Revenues.

Staff recommends that Council approve Professional Services Contract Amendment No. 2 with Kadrmas, Lee, and Jackson, Inc., in the amount of $22,441, for W.O. 15-18, Water Treatment Plant Clearwell No. 2 Re-coat.
