Staff opened bids on February 13, 2018, for the Poet Streets project. There were four bids and Askin Construction LLC submitted the lowest responsible bid.  The project will overlay the roads in the Poet Streets neighborhood and add curbing. These streets are currently not on the Street Preventative Maintenance Program and the project will allow them to be incorporated into the program in the future. The project was advertised in The Yellowstone County News January 26^th, February 2^nd, and February 9^th and on the City's website.

City Council may:

• Award W.O. 18-10 Poet Streets to Askin Construction, LLC, in the amount of $793,896.94, or;
• Not award the contract to Askin Construction, LLC, and reject all bids.  If the contract is not awarded, the neighborhood streets will remain non-maintainable by the standards of the Street Preventative Maintenance Program and will continue to degrade.
