PROBLEM/ISSUE STATEMENT
W.O. 18-01, Schedule 1, North 27th Street Water Main Replacement Project, will replace approximately 4,810 feet of 16-inch diameter water main in North 27th Street from 6th Avenue North to Rimrock Road. This project is part of the annual water main replacement project.
The project was advertised on April 20th and 27th and May 4th and 11th in the Yellowstone County News and on the City's website. Bids were opened on May 15, 2018, and two bids were received. COP Construction, LLC submitted the lowest responsible bid.

ALTERNATIVES ANALYZED
City Council may:
- Approve the construction contract with COP Construction, LLC for W.O. 18-01 Schedule 1 North 27th Street Water Line Replacement Project in the amount of $2,144,572.00, or;
- Do not approve the construction contract. If the project is not constructed, the City's water system will continue to experience ongoing maintenance problems such as more frequently occurring main breaks in this area. Future repair costs and property damage claims can be minimized by completing this project.

RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends that the City Council approve a contract with COP Construction, LLC for W.O. 18-01, Schedule 1, North 27th Street Water Main Replacement Project, in the amount of $2,144,572.00.
