PROBLEM/ISSUE STATEMENT
W.O. 18-02 Miscellaneous Concrete Project will construct concrete sidewalk, curb and gutter, drive approaches, and alley approaches throughout the city. The areas of work were developed by city staff recommendation, calls from the public, and identified tripping hazards. The project was advertised May 11th, 18th, and 25th and bids were opened on May 29th. Since bids were opened on the same day as the Council meeting, staff is recommending that the bid award be delayed for consideration until the June 11th Council meeting. State law (MCA 7-5-4302) requires City Council to consider bids at the Council meeting. Since this project was bid on the same day as the Council meeting, staff requests the delay in order to evaluate the bids.

City Council may:
- Delay award of WO 18-02 until the June 11th Council meeting.
FINANCIAL IMPACT
Financial impacts and bid results will be presented at the June 11th Council meeting.
RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends that the City Council delay bid award until the June 11th Council meeting.
