PROBLEM/ISSUE STATEMENT
W.O. 18-05, 54th Street West and Rimrock Road Traffic Signal Improvements will construct a traffic signal at the intersection of Rimrock Road and 54th Street West. The improvements will include widening the roads to include left turn lanes in all four directions, ADA ramps at the intersection, and new striping. Staff opened bids on June 12, 2018. The contract was advertised on May 25th, June 1st and June 8th, 2018, in the Yellowstone County News and on the City's website. Three bids were received and Knife River - Billings submitted the lowest responsible bid.
ALTERNATIVES ANALYZED
The Council may:
- Award W.O. 18-05, 54th Street West and Rimrock Road Traffic Signal Improvements to Knife River - Billings in the amount of $560,880.60; or
- Do not award a contract and reject all bids. If this contract is not awarded, the traffic signal will not be installed.

Sufficient funds are available in FY18 for this project and the sources are Arterial fees and Gas Tax.
