Six bids were received by the Street/Traffic Division for the Public Works Department on September 11, 2018, to purchase 3 - 2019 37,000 GVW Single Axle trucks with Dump/sander/plow.  This purchase will replace existing trucks that are included in the FY19 Equipment Replacement Plan (ERP).

City Council may:

• Approve purchasing 3 - 37,000 GVW single axle trucks with dump/sander/plow from the low bidder, or;
• Disapprove the purchase.  The existing trucks are nearing the end of their useful lives.

Staff recommends that the City Council accept the low bid and purchase the 3  trucks from I-State in the net amount of $431,650.00.  This amount includes the trade of 1180, 1181 & 1188 for $50,000 and 5 year engine/transmission warranties for $9,504.00.
