W.O. 18-24, WRF Administration Building Improvements is a project to expand the existing Administration Building at the Water Reclamation Facility.  A single bid from Sletten Construction in a total amount of $3,498,100.00 was received on December 18.  This amount is significantly greater than the budgeted amount and staff is recommending that Council not approve the contract.  The expansion plans will be modified and rebid at a later time.
 

City Council may:

• Approve award of the construction contractor to Sletten Construction, or;
• Reject the bid for the project.

Although this is an important project due to the inefficient space in the existing Administration Building and the aging building components, the project as bid cannot be completed within the available budget.

A single bid was received on December 18, 2018 for W.O. 18-24; WRF Administration Building Improvements project. The bid was from Sletten Construction Company in the amount of $3,498,100.  The available budget is $2.1 million.
 

Staff recommends that City Council not award a construction contract for W.O. 18-24, WRF Administration Building Improvements.
