PROBLEM/ISSUE STATEMENT
At the February 12, 2018 Council Meeting the Annafeld Park Special Improvement District (SID) 1404 was approved to provide funding for development of the first phase of parkland improvements in the Annafeld Subdivision First Filing. Plans and specifications were developed and an Invitation to Bid was advertised. On April 23, 2019 bids for the parkland development were opened. Staff is requesting a delay in action to allow more time to secure a purchaser for the bonds prior to acceptance of the bid.
ALTERNATIVES ANALYZED
City Council may:
- Approve the request for delay of action to the May 28th Council Meeting, or;
- Disapprove the delay and provide staff with additional guidance.
FINANCIAL IMPACT
There will be no financial impact to this action.
RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends Council delay action of bid award to allow more time to secure a purchaser for the bonds.
