The landfill slope above Jellison Road experienced failures in 2018.  The City had a hazard assessment and mitigation alternatives analysis performed and has selected an alternative.

This project includes the necessary professional services to implement the alternative including, but not limited to: site geotechnical investigation, final design, bidding services, and construction administration.

Proposals were requested for the professional services described above.  Three firms submitted proposals and Pioneer Technical Services, Inc. was selected as the preferred consultant.

City Council may:

• Award a Professional Services Contract to Pioneer Technical Services, Inc., or;
• Do not award a contract to Pioneer Technical Services, Inc.  If this agreement is not approved, construction and mitigation will be delayed.

The contract is in the amount of $110,006.00 and is being funded with Solid Waste funds as approved in the FY 2020 budget.  There are adequate funds for this contract amount.

Staff recommends that the City Council approve the Professional Services Contract with Pioneer Technical Services, Inc. for W.O. 18-32 Landfill Slope Stabilization in the amount of $110,006.00.
