PROBLEM/ISSUE STATEMENT
WO 09-02, Miscellaneous/Developer Related project, is constructing sidewalk along 17th Street West from Poly Drive to Colton Boulevard. The property owner, Billy Jack Stone, at 2102 17th Street West has existing trees located out to the curb line. In order to save the trees, the city has agreed to route the sidewalk around the trees and Mr. Stone has agreed to grant the city a sidewalk easement.
ALTERNATIVES ANALYZED
The Council may:
- Accept the sidewalk easement, or
- Do not accept the sidewalk easement.
FINANCIAL IMPACT
There is no significant financial impact with acceptance of this right of way easement.
RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends that Council accept the sidewalk easement from Bill Jack Stone, owner of the property at 2102 17th Street West.
