RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends that the City Council accept the $18,500 donation from the Billings Library Foundation.
BACKGROUND (Consistency with Adopted Plans and Policies, if applicable)
The Billings Library Foundation is donating $18,500 to the Billings Public Library. These funds will be used to enhance technology offerings in the Royal Johnson Community Room. In the event that the technology is not upgraded in the Royal Johnson Community Room, these funds will be utilized where needed for Library operations, not including wages, benefits, or collection development. Administrative Order 117 requires that all donations with value exceeding $500 be accepted by the Council prior to expending the funds.
ALTERNATIVES
City Council may:
- Approve the Billings Library Foundation donation, or;
- Disapprove the donation.
FISCAL EFFECTS
There is no budgetary impact.
