RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends that the City Council approve the professional services contract with Stahly Engineering & Associates, Inc. for SID 1416 for $104,548.
BACKGROUND (Consistency with Adopted Plans and Policies, if applicable)
SID 1416 Gleneagles Boulevard, will construct improvements on Gleneagles Boulevard between Black Diamond Drive and Lake Hills Drive. These improvements generally consist of water, sanitary sewer, storm drain, curb and gutter, and street improvements to Gleneagles Boulevard. Mayor and Council are asked to consider authorizing and executing a Contract for Professional Services with Stahly Engineering & Associates to provide engineering design and construction administration for SID 1416. The contract is in the amount of $104,548. Stahly Engineering & Associates was selected based on proposals requested from a list of prequalified consultants for this type of work. Proposals were received from Stahly Engineering, Great West, Performance Engineering, Sanderson Stewart, KLJ, and IMEG.
ALTERNATIVES
City Council may:
- Approve the professional services contract with Stahly Engineering & Associates; or,
- Disapprove the professional services contract with Stahly Engineering & Associates. If not approved, another option will need to be considered for design and construction administration for SID 1416.
FISCAL EFFECTS
The professional services contract with Stahly Engineering & Associates is for $104,548 and will be paid out of the SID and gas tax funds.
