Staff recommends the City Council award a contract for SID 1416 Gleneagles Boulevard to Askin Construction, LLC in the amount of $674,869.20 contingent on the sale of bonds.

SID 1416 Gleneagles Boulevard, will construct water, sanitary sewer, storm drain, curb and gutter, and street improvements on Gleneagles Boulevard.  The project will complete the missing segment of Gleneagles and will improve traffic flow in and out of the Lake Hills and Wicks Lane area.  SID 1416 was created at the March 22, 2021, City Council meeting. 

The project was advertised on May 7, 14, and 21, 2021, in the Yellowstone County News and on the City's website.  Bids were opened on May 25, 2021 and five bids were received.  Askin Construction, LLC submitted the lowest, responsible bid.  

City Council may:

• Award SID 1416 Gleneagles Boulevard, to Askin Construction, LLC in the amount of $674,869.20, or;
• Do not award a contract and reject all bids.  If the project is not awarded, the lots in the subdivision could not be developed and an unimproved gap in Gleneagles Boulevard will remain.
