RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommendation is to accept the cashier's check in the amount of $10,000 from a donor who wishes to remain anonymous.
BACKGROUND (Consistency with Adopted Plans and Policies, if applicable)
The donor wishes to remain anonymous and that their donation benefits the fire crews at fire station #5. City policy requires that any donation exceeding $500.00 must be accepted by the City Council before the funds can be expended.
ALTERNATIVES
City Council may Approve; or Not Approve accepting the cashier's check.
FISCAL EFFECTS
Accepting this donation will allow the department to purchase or upgrade equipment at Fire Station #5.
