RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends that City Council approve the Award for the Terminal Seating Contract with Arconas Corporation.
BACKGROUND (Consistency with Adopted Plans and Policies, if applicable)
The Airport's Terminal Concourse Expansion Project will add approximately 60,000 square feet of new building to the Airport's Terminal. In order to have enough seating to accommodate the new space and still have enough seating for the existing areas that require seating, the Airport advertised a Request for Proposals (RFP) for Terminal Seating on November 19, 24, and December 3, 2021. Three proposals were received on December 8, 2021, from Arconas Corporation, Zoeftig LTD, and Dundas Interiors. A selection committee was formed consisting of Airport staff (Ploehn, Evangeline, Ketterling), Heather Mosser with Morrison-Maierle, and Aviation and Transit Board Members Steve Tostenrud and David Hummel. The committee unanimously selected the Arconas Corporation proposal, which also turned out to have the lowest price. The subsequent contract order will include two groups of seating, the first group will be for the new Concourse A, which should be delivered in June 2022. The second group will be delivered in 2023 for the Concourse B. Each of the two orders will include 179 units with 3 seats, arms with drink holders, and 50 charging units that will be attached to the seating. The Airport also received a per seat price if additional units are needed in the near future. The total contract pricing for the seating for the two Concourses by each vendor was as follows:

ALTERNATIVES
City Council may:
- Approve the purchase of new Terminal Seating for the Concourse Expansion Project from Arconas Corporation for $688,900; or
- Not Approve the purchase of the new Terminal Seating and advise staff on how to proceed.
FISCAL EFFECTS
The Airport has funding available for this project in the Terminal Concourse Expansion project accounts.
