RECOMMENDATION
No action is required of City Council at this time.
BACKGROUND (Consistency with Adopted Plans and Policies, if applicable)
City staff presents street maintenance fees and arterial construction fees to City Council annually for adoption. The rates must be adopted before the end of August so City Council will be asked to approve rates at a future council meeting. Staff is proposing that arterial construction fees be combined into street maintenance district 2 fees to have one fee for streets. During the work session, staff will present the FY23 plan for street fees including street maintenance fees, arterial fees, and gas tax in order to provide a comprehensive picture of the funding for streets. Rate methodologies and options will also be discussed.

No alternatives are presented as no action is required for this item at this meeting.
FISCAL EFFECTS
There are no fiscal effects as a result of this council item as there is no action being taken. Staff will be looking for direction from City Council for the rates that are being presented. The direction that is given to staff will be incorporated in the rate resolution being presented to City Council at a later date.
