Staff recommends award of a three-year contract, with three additional one-year options to renew, for the City's snow removal services with A-1 Landscaping at the prices outlined in the attached contract.

Historically, City departments or divisions with property in need of snow removal have contracted with vendors separately for these services.  On average and depending upon snowfall, the City averages $58,000/year for snow removal services.  Therefore, pursuant to the City's Purchasing Procedures, an Invitation for Bids (IFB) for Snow Removal Services for various City departments currently utilizing these types of services was advertised in the Yellowstone County News on September 2 and 9, 2022.  Bids were opened on September 20, 2022, and only one was received from A-1 Landscaping.

The following Departments/Divisions were involved in this process:

• Planning and Community Development
• Library
• Facilities
• Parking

City Council may:

• Approve a three-year contract, with three additional one-year options to renew, for the City's snow removal services, with A-1 Landscaping; or,
• Not Approve the contract with A-1 Landscaping for snow removal services, and provide further direction to staff.

Historically, City departments or divisions with property in need of snow removal have contracted with vendors separately for these services.  Additional services and locations may be added to the contract, if the need arises.  On average and depending upon snowfall, the City spends $58,000/year for snow removal services.
