RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommendation is to accept the $8,500 donation from Phillips 66 Corporation.
BACKGROUND (Consistency with Adopted Plans and Policies, if applicable)
Phillips 66 has always supported the Billings Fire Department with generous donations through their giving pillars such as Community Safety & Preparedness fund as well as inclusion in their fire training schools.
ALTERNATIVES
City Council may Approve; or, Not Approve accepting the $8,500 donation from Phillips 66.
FISCAL EFFECTS
If the Council chooses not to take the donation, the City / Billings Fire Department will return the funds.
SUMMARY
Staff recommends accepting the $8,500 donation from Phillips 66 to offset the purchase of emergency lighting for the new MRT units being added to the Fire Department fleet of vehicles.
