Staff recommends approval of proposed Mountview Cemetery fee increases.

Since the last Mountview Cemetery fees adjustment, the cemetery budget has increased $61k, from $426,251 to $487,146. This increase can primarily be attributed to rising personnel cost, as well as an increase to equipment and maintenance costs. It is estimated that adopting the proposed fee schedule will increase cemetery revenue by $30k annually.

City Council may:

According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics CPI inflation calculator, inflation has gone up by 16% since the last cemetery fee increase occurred in July 2020 (RES 20-10893). In order to mitigate rising cost of operating/maintaining Mountview Cemetery, recommend price increase across all services by 16%.
