RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends the City Council approve on second reading amending the boundaries of Ward III to include newly annexed property.
BACKGROUND (Consistency with Adopted Plans and Policies, if applicable)
McCall Development submitted a petition to annex land using the provisions of Section 7-2-4600, MCA. The property is located south of Elysian Road. The property is legally described using a metes and bounds which is provided in the ordinance attached to this memo. It is zoned Planned Development.
Upon Council approval, this annexation requires a change in the boundaries of Ward III. Two readings are required for this action. The first reading and public hearing was held on December 13th, 2021. Council approved the item unanimously, the second reading will occur on January 10, 2022.

ALTERNATIVES
City Council may:
- Approve adding the subject property to Ward III; or,
- Not Approve. Disapproval will not modify the boundary of Ward III and will create a problem where property inside the City Limits is not within a City Ward.
