The staff recommends awarding all bid schedules to the lowest bidder as follows: Bid schedule 1 to Fremont Motors in Cody Wyoming for the amount of $42,430. Bid schedule 2, 3, 4 and 5 to Laurel Chevrolet in Laurel Montana for the amount of $375,467.

11 City Vehicles in the car/light truck class are scheduled for replacement in the City's Equipment Replacement Program and were approved by the City Council during the FY23-24 budget process. Staff advertised for sealed bids for City Vehicles on July 21st and July 28th with the bid opening on August 1st.
The bids are for the following types of vehicles:
One 1/2 ton 4x4 regular cab long box pickup (Parks)
Two 15 passenger vans (Recreation)
Two small 4-door SUV's (Parking)
Three 3/4 ton 4x4 extended cab long box pickups (Animal Control)
Three four-door sedans (Police)
 

City Council may:

• Approve the purchase of vehicles from the low bidders or;
• Disapprove the purchases and reject all bids.

The City Departments' Fy24 budgets includes adequate funds to replace the vehicles described. The City received bids from four vendors on the vehicles. The total bid amount for the vehicles is $417,897.00 as outlined on the attached "Vehicle bid Results."
