RECOMMENDATION
Listen and engage in a dialogue with our community on crime prevention.
BACKGROUND (Consistency with Adopted Plans and Policies, if applicable)
As we prepare to set priorities for 2024 and 2025, we are holding two round table discussions focused on improving safety. This second meeting will focus on crime prevention. On December 5, the round table focused on the criminal justice system and its relationship to our local, state and federal partners in the system.
To start our conversations on crime prevention, presentations will be made by a handful of community partners focused on the linkage between health and safety, mental health, addiction and the state of our youth. All are welcome to this public meeting being held in the Billings Library community room at 5:30 pm. In addition to our speakers, we've asked representatives from the Boys and Girls Club, Native American community, SD2, several churches, the family justice center and Yellowstone County to sit at the table. Please ask anyone you feel we've missed, to join us at the table or to provide public comment.
