RECOMMENDATION
The Parks staff is recommending approval to accept the grant award funds from First Interstate Bank in the amount of $900.00.
BACKGROUND (Consistency with Adopted Plans and Policies, if applicable)
Amend Community Garden is a program within Parks & Recreation, and has a continued partnership with AmeriCorps VISTAs, which started the garden initiative 10 years ago. The funds will be used at Amend Garden to purchase materials for building 6 raised planter beds to improve garden access for folks with limited mobility. The beds will also allow for planting produce that is frequently decimated by the ground squirrels in the garden, such as carrots and lettuce.
