RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends the City Council award a contract for the base bid and alternates #1, #2, and #3 for the Castle Rock Park North Parking Lot repairs to K2 Civil, in the amount of $359,308.
BACKGROUND (Consistency with Adopted Plans and Policies, if applicable)
This project was approved in the Parks FY24 CIP.
This project is intended to replace the parking lot on the north side of Castle Rock Park. The current parking lot has a very steep entrance and is in poor condition. This project will provide a new parking lot with a lower angle entrance, as well as a uniform layout to the parking lot with marked spaces.
In addition to the parking lot replacement, a multi-use path will be added to the west side of the lot connecting the current walking path to Wicks Lane.
This project was advertised on March 29th, April 5th, and April 12th, 2024, in the Yellowstone County News and on the City's website. Bids were opened on April 16th, 2024, and 5 bids were received.
