Staff recommends that City Council award a professional engineering services Contract Amendment 2 for W.O. 23-12 Zone 4 Pump Station and Waterline Improvements to HDR Engineering, Inc. in the amount of $445,600.

City Council is asked to consider authorizing and executing Contract Amendment 2 for construction observation and administrative services with HDR Engineering, Inc for W.O. 23-12 Zone 4 Pump Station and Waterline Improvements.  This amendment also includes services for W.O. 23-39 Grand Avenue Waterline Replacement.  The construction contract was recently awarded to Grade A Civil on the July 8th Council meeting. W.O. 23-12 Zone 4 Pump Station and Waterline Improvements will provide additional pumping capacity in Zone 4 and a new waterline along 58th Street West.  The pump station will be located along the new waterline between Grand Avenue and Rimrock Road on 58th Street West.  W.O. 23-39 Grand Avenue Waterline Replacement is required in tandem with W.O. 23-12 and includes replacing a section of 12-inch main with a 20-inch main along Grand Avenue between 41st Street West and Shiloh Road.

City Council may:

• Approve Contract Amendment 2 with HDR Engineering for W.O. 23-12 Zone 4 Pump Station and Waterline Improvements in the amount of $445,600; or,
• Not approve a Contract Amendment 2 with HDR Engineering. If contract amendment 2 is not approved, construction inspection and administrative services would have to completed in another manner.

WO 23-12 Zone 4 Pump Station was budgeted in FY25 using Water Funds.  With the delay of the Zone 1 project, there are sufficient funds to award this contract amendment.
