RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends that City Council accept multiple donations totaling $9,500.
BACKGROUND (Consistency with Adopted Plans and Policies, if applicable)
Council policy requires that any donation greater than $500 must be approved by the City Council.
- The Breakfast Flakes wishes to donate $9,000 to the Billings Police Department SRO's to purchase fatal vision goggles.
- The Bet Casino is donating $500 to be used at the Police Departments' discretion.
ALTERNATIVES
City Council may:
- Approve donations to the Billings Police Department totaling $9,500;
- Disapprove donations to the Billings Police Department totaling $9,500 and provide further direction to staff.
FISCAL EFFECTS
There is no impact to the General Fund.
