RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends that City Council accept the donation from WC Commercial, LLC for two parking spaces for the Volunteer Patrol Unit.
BACKGROUND (Consistency with Adopted Plans and Policies, if applicable)
Council policy requires that any donation greater than $500 must be approved by the City Council. WC Commercial, LLC has offered the Billings Police Crime Prevention Center two parking spaces in the Stillwater Parking Garage located at 2549 3rd Avenue North, at no charge. Spaces are currently being rented at $72/month. The annual cost for both parking spaces is $1,728.
ALTERNATIVES
City Council may:
- Approve the donation to the Billings Police Crime Prevention Unit from WC Commercial, LLC for two parking spaces or;
- Disapprove the donation to the Billings Police Crime Prevention Unit from WC Commercial, LLC for two parking spaces and provide further direction to staff.
FISCAL EFFECTS
There is no impact to the General Fund.
