RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends that City Council accept donations totaling $3,000.
BACKGROUND (Consistency with Adopted Plans and Policies, if applicable)
Council policy requires that any donation greater than $500 must be approved by the City Council. City Council is being asked to accept two donations totaling $3,000. One donation from Hansers Towing in the amount of $1,000 will be used to sponsor Camp Blue. Camp Blue is an opportunity for incoming 7th graders to spend a week with various first responders with the goal of building positive relationships to help mold them into school and community leaders. These funds will go to help cover the cost of transportation, lunches, snacks, t-shirts and other activities throughout the week.
The other donation in the amount of $2,000 was donated from community member Patricia Schmitt with the instruction to be used as the Billings Police Department needs.

There is no impact on the General Fund since all activities will be supported by donations.
