RECOMMENDATION
City Council approve the attached addendum to the employment agreement between the City and City Administrator.
BACKGROUND (Consistency with Adopted Plans and Policies, if applicable)
The employment agreement between the City and City Administrator does not include a cost of living adjustment (COLA). In Fiscal Year 2025 (July 1, 2025 - June 30, 2025) no adjustment was made to the city administrator's compensation. If approved, the COLA increase would be effective July 1, 2025.
The EMPLOYMENT AGREEMENT is amended to include the following additional bold language to Section 3 - Compensation:
D. Effective July 1, 2025, and on each subsequent July 1 thereafter, the Employee’s base salary shall be increased by three percent (3%) as a cost-of-living adjustment (COLA).

FISCAL EFFECTS
A 3% increase in base pay will increase the city administrator's salary from $212,628 to $219,007.
