RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends approval of the donation from the Anne and Bill Cole Fund for $2,500. This generous donation is made to support the city's acquisition of holiday decorations for City Hall in anticipation of the open house event in December.
BACKGROUND (Consistency with Adopted Plans and Policies, if applicable)
The City Council Operations Committee has approved a City Hall Open House event to take place in December for the community to attend. Anne and Bill Cole have generously donated $2,500 toward holiday decorations for that event and for use in the future. This donation will be applied to the purchase of a tree and wreaths for the first floor lobby areas of City Hall and will be used year after year.
STAKEHOLDERS
The entire community, visitors, and employees will benefit from this donation.
ALTERNATIVES
City Council may:
- Approve the donation of $2,500 for holiday decorations for City Hall; or,
- Not Approve the donation.
FISCAL EFFECTS
This donation covers the purchase of a tree and wreaths for the lobby areas of City Hall.
SUMMARY
In addition to celebrating the open house for City Hall, this donation will continue to have benefits in the future since the tree and wreaths can be used year after year.
