WO 09-14, Wicks and Saint Andrews Signal, was awarded on September 27, 2010.  This project constructed a traffic signal at the intersection of Wicks Lane and Saint Andrews Drive and is close to being substantially complete.  On December 8, 2010, Change order #1 was approved to add an Accessibility System to the traffic signal in the amount of $8,500.  Change order #2 (final) will add a luminaire to the northeast corner of the intersection and reconciles final quantities with bid quantities in the amount of $5,491.53.  Change order #2, combined with change order #1, is more than 10% of the original contract amount, therefore requiring approval from the City Council. 

The Council may:

• Approve change order #2 for Work Order 09-14 to reconcile the project and add a luminaire; or
• Do not approve the change order and eliminate the luminaire ($3,300) from the project.  The reconciling portion of the change order would need to be approved to close out the project ($2,191.53).  

Funding for WO 09-14 Wicks and Saint Andrews Signal and the change orders is being provided from Arterial Funds.  The final contract amount is $121,909.53.

Staff recommends that Council approve the change order #2 final for WO 09-14 Wicks and Saint Andrews Signal in amount of $5,491.53.
