RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends that City Council accept a donation from the Yellowstone County DUI Task Force in the amount of $2,000 to be used to purchase Preliminary Breath Tester's (PBT's) for patrol cars.
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Approval is requested to accept a $2,000 donation from the Yellowstone County DUI Task Force to purchase Preliminary Breath Testers for Billings Police Department patrol vehicles. The donation requires Council approval and has no General Fund impact.
BACKGROUND (Consistency with Adopted Plans and Policies, if applicable)
Council policy requires that any donation greater than $500 must be approved by the City Council. City Council is being asked to accept a donation in the amount of $2,000 from the Yellowstone County DUI Task Force. The donation will be used to purchase Portable Breath Testers (PBT's) and associated supplies.
FISCAL EFFECTS
There is no impact to the General Fund.

City Council may:
- Approve the donation to the Billings Police Department in the amount of $2,000 or;
- Disapprove the donation to the Billings Police Department in the amount of $2,000 and the Billings Police Department will use the General Fund to purchase the PBT's.
