RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends approval of the purchase of furniture and equipment necessary to outfit the new Amend Recreation Campus (ARC) Courts Complex from Peterson Quality Office in the amount of $131,138.02.
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
The Amend Recreation Campus (ARC) Courts Complex project will provide a mix of leisure, office, and meeting spaces designed to support daily operations, tournaments, league play, and broader recreation programming. City staff collaborated with A&E Design and Peterson Quality Office to develop a value-engineered furniture and equipment package that meets the flexible needs of both staff and the public, including all aspects of delivery, installation, and setup.
Procurement will be conducted through the Sourcewell cooperative purchasing program, ensuring compliance with Montana and City requirements while leveraging national pricing and improving efficiency. Overall, the furniture and equipment investment is intended to support facility functionality and enhance the experience for participants, staff, and spectators.

BACKGROUND (Consistency with Adopted Plans and Policies, if applicable)
The Amend Recreation Campus (ARC) Courts Complex project includes areas of leisure, office space, and meeting space intended to support daily business, facility operations, and tournaments, league play, and other recreation programming.
City staff worked with A&E Design and Peterson Quality Office to develop a value-engineered furniture and equipment package that provides the necessary components to meet the dynamic needs of the space for both staff and the public. The package includes furniture, equipment, delivery, storage, uncrating, placement, and installation of all items within the facility.
The procurement will be completed using the Sourcewell cooperative purchasing program, which allows public agencies to utilize competitively solicited national contracts. Use of the Sourcewell contract satisfies Montana purchasing requirements and City purchasing policies while allowing the City to leverage nationally negotiated pricing and streamline the procurement process.
The furniture and equipment will support facility operations during events, daily business, and programming and is intended to enhance the experience of participants and spectators using the facility.
FISCAL EFFECTS
The total purchase price for the furniture and equipment package is $131,138.02.
Funding for this purchase is included within the Amend Recreation Campus (ARC) Courts Complex project budget, and no additional appropriations are required.
