PROBLEM/ISSUE STATEMENT
W.O. 05-17, Highland School Route Sidewalks, was awarded to Riverside Sand and Gravel at the October 14, 2008, City Council Meeting in the amount of $149,748.30. This project is a CTEP project that constructed approximately 1,750 feet of sidewalk along 11th Street West, O'Malley Drive, and Azalea Lane. The project also constructed a crosswalk at the intersection of 11th Street West and Poly Drive. The project is complete. Change Order #2 Final is to reconcile final quantities with actual quantities, resulting in a net increase of $21,145.85, which was mainly due to the fact that the existing curb and gutter was in poor condition and needed to be replaced prior to constructing the new curbwalk. This change order has been approved by CTEP for reimbursement. This change order is over 10% of the original contract and, as such, must be approved by City Council.
