RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends that the City Council approve the purchase of a 6M 105 Cab Tractor and an Alamo Falcon 15 Rotary Cutter under Sourcewell's cooperative purchasing.
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
The airport's equipment replacement program (ERP) has budgeted to replace 2002 and 2005 John Deer 6420 tractors with a new tractor and a rotary cutter. The old tractors will be traded in for credit.
BACKGROUND (Consistency with Adopted Plans and Policies, if applicable)
The Billings Airport has an ongoing ERP in order to maintain the airport up to federal standards. With 2500 acres of land, there are equipment replacement requirements. The existing tractors are 21 and 24 years old, respectively, and it is time to replace them with a new tractor and a rotary cutter attachment. This will allow for continued reliability and reduced equipment maintenance costs.
FISCAL EFFECTS
The new tractor will cost $215,876.48 and the rotary cutter will cost $142,727.52, which comes to a total of $358,604.00. The 2002 and 2005 John Deere 67420 Tractors have a trade in credit of $44,500, leaving a final, budgeted, cost of $314,104.00.

The City Council may:

- Decline to approve the purchase, and provide further direction.
