PROBLEM/ISSUE STATEMENT

The final plat for Blaesius Subdivision, 1st Filing, Amended Lots 3A & 4A , is being presented to Council for approval. On February 9, 2009, the City Council conditionally approved 4 lots on approximately 0.64 acres of land. The subject property is zoned Residential 6000 (R-60) and is located on North 16th Street between 8th Avenue North and Vuecrest Drive.  The property currently has one new two-family home on it, and three additional duplexes are proposed. The property owner and agent is T.P. Renovators, LLC, and the Engineer is Sanderson Stewart. Upon City Council approval, these documents are appropriate as to form for filing with the Clerk and Recorder. 

ALTERNATIVES ANALYZED

 

The City Council may:
  • Approve the final plat; or
  • Deny the final plat.

FINANCIAL IMPACT

Should the City Council approve the final plat, the existing and proposed duplex buildings on the subject property could be sold separately, which could result in additional tax revenues for the City.

RECOMMENDATION

Staff recommends that the City Council approve the final plat of Blaesius Subdivision, First Filing, Amended Lots 3A and 4A.
