The Wastewater Treatment Plant uses polymer to aid in the dewatering of biosolids in the treatment process. Public Works has requested bids for this polymer in an attempt to ensure the best possible price for this product. The subject bid and contract award is for an estimated 78,000 pounds of dry polymer in year one, with the option to renew for up to three years upon mutual agreement. The actual amount may vary from year to year.
ALTERNATIVES ANALYZED
The City Council may:
- Approve the contract award for the wastewater plant chemical - dry polymer to Atlantic Coast Polymers, Inc.; or,
- Reject all bids and not award the chemicals contract.
