PROBLEM/ISSUE STATEMENT
SID 1395, Boca Raton Road, was created at the May 13, 2013, City Council Meeting. SID 1395 will construct Boca Raton Road and a portion of Annandale Road within Lake Hills Subdivision.
The project was bid on July 23, 2013. All of the bids were rejected on August 26, 2013. The project was re-bid on January 28, 2014. Staff is recommending delay of award of the project contract until the February 24, 2014, Council Meeting to allow time for the bond sale. Staff will present the bid results at that meeting.

ALTERNATIVES ANALYZED
There are no viable alternatives to this action because Finance must confirm that the City can sell bonds at acceptable rates before the Council awards a construction contract.
FINANCIAL IMPACT
Bid results will be presented for the February 24, 2014, Council Meeting.
RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends that Council delay award of an SID 1395 construction contract until February 24, 2014.
