The Billings Police Department would like to pursue the subgrant for Domestic Violence training and continuation of the "Domestic Violence Investigator" program for the 13th year.  The proposed amount for this grant totals $13,077.  The goals of this grant are to provide funding for overtime, training and supplies related to fulfilling the need for more intense investigation in domestic violence cases.

City Council may:

• Approve the Domestic Violence Grant Award in the Amount of $13,077, or;
• Disapprove the Domestic Violence Grant Award, which would reduce the enhancement of the Domestic Violence Investigator Program due to lack of funds for manpower.

Staff recommends that the City Council approve the 2014 Domestic Violence Grant in the amount of $13,077.
