PROBLEM/ISSUE STATEMENT
Last Fall, the Airport completed the construction of a new Car Rental Transfer Parking Lot to provide a place for the car rental companies to transfer rental cars coming into and out of service due to seasonal demand changes. Due to the on-set of Winter, the lighting component of the project was delayed until Spring. This lighting project will install six new LED light poles around the perimeter of the new transfer lot to increase safety and security for the vehicles and car rental personnel when they are in this area. This project was advertised in the Billings Times on January 22 and 29, and February 5, 2015. On February 10, 2015 the following bids were received:

ALTERNATIVES ANALYZED
City Council may:
- Approve the award of the Car Rental Transfer Parking Lot Light project; or
- Decline to Award this project and provide staff with direction on how to proceed.
FINANCIAL IMPACT
The total cost of this project is $44,371.60. The funding for this project is available in the Airport's Customer Facility Charge (CFC) account.
RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends the City Council approve the award of the Car Rental Transfer Parking Lot Lighting Project to the low bidder, Central Electric, for the amount of $44,371.60.
