PROBLEM/ISSUE STATEMENT
W.O. 15-31; Jackson St. Sidewalks - Byrd St. to Kratz Ln, is a Community Transportation Enhancement Program (CTEP) project that will construct sidewalk along the east side of Jackson Street between Byrd St. and Kratz Ln. The project was advertised on May 21, 28 and June 4th in the Billings Times and on the City's Website. Bids were opened on June 9, 2015, and three bids were received. Knife River submitted the lowest responsible bid.
ALTERNATIVES ANALYZED
The Council may:
- Award Work Order 15-31 Jackson St. Sidewalks - Byrd St. to Kratz Ln to Knife River in the amount of $59,502.90; or
- Do not award Work Order 15-31. If not awarded, the city would need to re-bid the project or cancel it, in which case there would not be sidewalk along the east side of Jackson Street between Byrd St. and Kratz Ln.
