PROBLEM/ISSUE STATEMENT
On April 9, 2012, the City Council approved a five-year contract with Morrison-Maierle, Inc. to provide all of the project design, the construction administration, construction survey, on site construction inspection, and project closeout for the Aviation and Transit Department for civil engineering work required during the five-year term. This term contract is amended each time a project is undertaken, and Amendment 26, for $55,106, includes all of the services listed above for this project.
This project will install approximately 2,000 feet of sanitary sewer line to provide sewer services to existing and future hangars at the new hangar development area on the west end of the Airport. This work will be constructed in conjunction with the Taxilane West Construction Project (see Amendment 25), but is not eligible for Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airport Improvement Program (AIP) entitlement grant funding. The estimated cost of the new sewer line is $300,000. The scope of work and associated fees have been negotiated by staff and are acceptable for this engineering work.
