This project is part of the City Solid Waste providing an area for residents of Billings to safely dispose of household hazardous waste (HHW) products. Solid Waste has already purchased two HHW material storage buildings and this project will provide a small parking lot area to set the buildings and provide parking for drop off. Staff opened bids on June 14, 2016, for Work Order 11-12, HHW Facility Parking Lot. The contract was advertised on May 26th and June 2nd and 9th in the Billings Times and on the City's website. CMG Construction submitted the lowest responsible bid.

The Council may:

• Award W.O. 11-12, HHW Facility Parking Lot to CMG Construction in the amount of $139,760.00; or
• Do not award a contract and reject all bids.  If this project is not awarded, the HHW buildings will be set on a dirt parking area.

The funding for the project was budgeted in FY16 and the source is the Solid Waste Fund.  The previously encumbered funds represent  the purchase of the HHW buildings.
