PROBLEM/ISSUE STATEMENT
The property owners of Certificate of Survey 1888 have amended their plat to include a street tract for Hawthorne Lane in the Heights. Hawthorne Lane currently exists over this tract. The property owner has agreed to quitclaim this tract to the City, and it becomes necessary for the City to accept this street tract in order to convey ownership to the City.
ALTERNATIVES ANALYZED
City Council may:
- Approve the acknowledgement and acceptance of the street tract, or;
- Do not accept the street tract. If not accepted, the portion of Hawthorne Lane will remain on private land.
FINANCIAL IMPACT
There is no financial impact to the City with approving the acknowledgement and acceptance for the street tract.
RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends that the City Council approve the acknowledgement and acceptance of the street tract, Tract 4 of Amended Certificate of Survey 1888.
