PROBLEM/ISSUE STATEMENT
Charter Communications is requesting an easement across Lillis park. The easement would be used to supply a coax cable to the Boy Scouts of America. The line would be bored under the park and a two inch Poly sleave would be installed.
ALTERNATIVES ANALYZED
City Council may:
- Approve the requested utility easements within the parkland or;
- Disapprove the easements and provide staff with additional direction.
FINANCIAL IMPACT
Charter Communications agrees to take all necessary precautions to protect existing infrastructure. Any and all damage shall be repaired at Charter Communications expense to the satisfaction of PRPL. There will be no financial impact to the City.
RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends that Council approve the utility easements for Lillis Park to allow Charter Communications to install new coax cables with conduit.
